When I was 4-years-old, my pajamas caught fire and my entire right arm was covered in 3rd-degree burns. I spent 3 weeks in the ICU and more time in the children's ward of the  hospital going through skin-grafting and other treatments. Experiencing excruciating pains and being away from my friends and family were very hard for me. I remember a family friend coming to visit and gifting me a singing gorilla, I was so excited!. It was the highlight of my hospital stay, it brought me such pleasure to play and forget about my burns and it gave my parents pleasure to see me smiling. Since I know how much a gift means to a sick child, I dedicate my life to bring healing and happiness to sick children.
